Climate



      One of the simplified Climate system classified 10 kinds of climates. The chart shows a geographical climates classification.

       Although Japan's considerable north-south length extends from the sub-frigid zone to the subtropical zone, most of the country lies in the temperate zone and enjoys a moderate, oceanic type of climate with four distinct seasons. Still, the climate differs from region to region owing to the effects of the complex topography and varying ocean currents. In another word, The Japanese climate is influenced by geographical location, summer and winter monsoons, ocean currents, and topography.

        And Japan has a rainy season between spring and summer which is called Tsuyu or Baiu. This rain is needed by the farmers at rice-planting time.
